Dixon, Illinois is the boyhood home of President Ronald Reagan. He had one brother, Neil. Ronald's father nicknamed Ronald, "Dutch", because of the way his mother cut his hair as a child; it stuck with him his entire life. Dixon is located on the Illinois River and his home was a typical middle class home on a quiet street. Reagan graduated from Dixon High School before going on to college, Hollywood and the presidency. I celebrated my birthday here at a very nice restaurant. They even sent us home with a slice of turtle cheesecake for my birthday. When leaving here we will be heading for Wisconsin.
