We arrived in Madison, Wisconsin, for the 86th FMCA International A'Fair Rally on Tuesday, August 9. It was only about 30 miles from the campground where we had spent the past two days. We were parked in the remote parking area known as the Lake Farm Park. Chartered buses carried us to the Alliant Energy State Fairgrounds. Fortunately, these buses ran frequently, so all of us who were parked at Lake Farm could easily attend seminars and other activities at the fairgrounds. We were parked within a row of Roadtreks where we dry camped for five nights. Other "Trekkers" encouraged us to join their Roadtrek International Chapter, so we did. They will have a post rally next week in Elkhorn, but our travel plans will not allow us to attend. We did enjoy talking to many of them and learning more about our Roadtrek. There were over 2100 coaches at the rally. We enjoyed attending some of the seminars, two concerts, and meeting up with fellow Travelin' Tarheels and others that we have met at previous rallies.
