Idaho potatoes we have all heard of but how many of us knew how beautiful this state is? Holy moly, if you like mountain scenery then you need to head to Idaho. The views have been outstanding! Yesterday was a basic travel day with a stop at a fish hatchery which was very interesting. For lunch we pulled into a museum in Stanley,ID and used their picnic table before taking the tour. Then we drove through the most gorgeous mountains we have seen yet. Stopped into a ranger visitor center and he put us on to a campground just 4 miles up the road in the national forest. We pulled in and had our pick of sites as there were probably 10 or so campers in the park. We backed up to the river gorge with a view of the river AND it had a hot spring. Shirley and I hiked along the river and had to wade about waist high through really cold water but around the rock bend voila a hot spring with waterfall. The price for this campsite.....$7.50!! We have pulled into Emmett,ID to the library to do the blog. We are frequently out of cell phone range so if you have been trying to reach us that is why we don't answer. We continue to marvel at the beauty and splendor of this country and are having the time of our lives. Enjoy the pics.
