August 8 to 14th 2011
It has been a while since Nancy and I have been on the road. With the economy we have stayed at home the past 3 months and we have really been looking forward to this trip. We are members of the Family Motor Coach Association and that is who was having this International Rally.
These rallies consist of Seminars, RV Exhibits, and Entertainment. In addition there were about 100 plus new Motor Homes for you to look at. The seminars are always nice as they are all RV Related. We attended seminars on Engines, Chassis, and Electronic systems. Even if you do not intend to work on the unit yourself, it is always good that you have a working understanding of what is going on.
Madison WI is the Capital and is home to about 250,000 people. We took a little drive around the area and made a point to see the Statehouse. I saw a lot of it on TV during the protests, but this day we saw how pretty the downtown area really was. The town is surrounded by lots of water, bike paths and walking areas. Just a nice place to relax when you are on vacation. Included are several pictures of the rally site just to give a sense of the festivities.
As with most RV Rallies there was great entertainment. If you have not seen them look up the RivoliReview.com or search for them on You Tube. Great Act with Great Songs. Kay
writes all the words and Ron puts them to music. All about RVing and America.
