| Hey Famalam, Today was fun!! Not such a rush to do loads of things in one day which made it nicer. I have unpacked everything now (thanks mummy for the little surprise in my suitcase). There are some pictures attached of my new room, nice and pink now:) Feels more like my own room now with all of my things in here. We walked to Brookwood mall today. Although nearly didn't make it there because it was so hot, its only like a 20 minute walk but felt like 2 hours in the sun. We went into Maceys!! It wasn't exactly what a expected, a little frumpy really, but that's probably because we are in a city where people seem to wear tracksuit bottoms everywhere lol. Sorted out an American phone today aswell so my new number is, 2057478494 (put a 1 in front from UK). A man and woman helped us in the phone shop which was a lifesaver as phones work really differently here. It was pretty funny trying to communicate with them, he asked us what we were studying but couldn't understand our pronunciation of law, he asked if we meant English literature or folk law!! He was so excited by our English pennies that we let him keep some to show his children and he said we had made his day!! Not much else to say really...oohhh actually we had our first slushie, very yummy!! And for dinner we took a detour to applebys! Everywhere here has free refills, we had 4 with our dinner, you don't even have to ask the waitress just appears with them, and as we went to pay the bill she bought another in a "to go" cup!! Altogether we had 5 drinks each for just over a dollar each!! Love xxxxxx |
