August 9, 2011 camped over Glacier National Park
We rode out bikes down to the the transit center and took the shuttle up to Logans Pass today and hiked the trail up to Hidden Lake which was a 3 mile hike, I would say 50% of it was snow, up hill going there and down hill coming back which is no easy task in Tennis Shoes, we saw Rams, Mountain Goats (as a matter of fact a goat crossed right in front of me), Marmots, and a ground squirrel. It was beautiful at the end, the lake was beautiful and the snow on the mountains was just awesome. We caught the shuttle back to the transit center and on the way back got into some good rain with a little hail for a little bit, by the time we got back to our stop it had stopped raining, however later in the evening it started raining at the camper and was even hailing small balls of hail.
