| We arrived here after a 3 hr drive from Clarkston. The drive was on mostley 2 lane road thru rolling hills full of wheat fields one after another. Lots of small farm towns too. I thought the mid west was our bread basket!We had planned to just stay the 1 day but there seems to be a lot to see here. Pendleton was once a wild frontier town where anything could happen and did. But today it known for the Pendleton round up rodeo that runs for a week long event. We stopped in the Elks lodge here, to get the scoop on what goes on! The roundup is next month and the place is hopping. The 1st friday they have a parade on with horse drawn equipment, Sat they have another parade with is about 2 hours long and I believe there is also a pow wow too! Lots to do tomorrow so will keep you all posted! |
