Catching up with an old friend and making new friends

little cherubs

Well I spent the day in Helsinki, love the city! It's so cosmopolitan. The cafes have the patrons sitting with their backs to the cafe so they can have their coffee etc while watching the world go by. The summer entertainment continues and the place was bustling with foreigners as well as locals. That is one thing I HAVE noticed is that Finland has certainly become more multicultural since I visited last, 12 years ago.

Thoroughly enjoyed my retail therapy :) I then found a lovely Spanish restaurant...yeah I know I'm in Finland but had craving for tapas! Luckily for me, it began pouring as I was being shown to my table. Spent a couple of hours there...mmmm...cuisine was scrumptious!

Rain stopped & off I went again.

Got in touch with a childhood friend & was invited for dinner. I managed to find my way thru the city to the underground metro, then actually caught the correct one to his place. Talk about seeing the seedy side of the city! Hong Kong was nothing like that.

Had an AWESOME time catching up with Richard and getting to meet his family for the first time and I made new friends as well. OMG Richard is still as funny as I remember him to be! (Maikki his mannerisms are just like yours!)
