Frank & Shirley's Alaska Adventure travel blog

Today was another quiet day; after a very slow morning we had gone to the Caribou Restaurant for breakfast, then stopped at the visitor center and checked out the boardwalk at the river. Soldotna is a nice place, the world famous Kenai River is one of Soldotna’s big attraction. Found out World War II veterans were among the very first Soldotna homesteaders. Its name is from the existing Soldotna Creek that empties into the Kenai River. After a short drive out of town that took us no where we return back to the campground, where Frank could take his afternoon nap. Tomorrow we will be on our way to Seward, AK
