And we are all posing with the stick!
What a wonderful surprise! Linda and Rudy (they are now close to finalizing their almost four month long Great River Road adventure) came over for us to go out and celebrate Rudy's birthday today - and what did they do? They surprised me by giving me this wonderful giraffe walking stick for my birthday in another two days!
I was really blown away with them even picking up on the fact that I have collected giraffes and have done so since 1976 when living in Puerto Rico and got my first giraffe and the herd grew and grew to well over 300! This was the FIRST walking stick and is just wonderful!
I am going to break down the birthday celebration into a couple of posts. We are leaving tomorrow to meet Randy and Konnie (friends from the Sioux Falls and Okoboji post in early June) to help me celebrate my big SIX-OH. My friend, Marlean said it best though, and I quote: "Happy 60th! How does that feel? I think 60 is the new 40 anyway so Happy New 40th!!!!!" - and I like that philosophy!
