July 27, 2011 stay over in Williston, N Dakota

Today we went to the Chevrolet dealer needing an oil change and fuel filter change and they said they might be able to get to the oil change next week and the fuel filter the end of August, so we’ll wait till the next town, obviously they are backed up which I can understand there is so much construction and they are drilling for oil everywhere up here. There are so many people here from out of state and there are RV’s parked everywhere, we went to Walmart this morning and there were several parked in the parking lot and Buddy went to the rest room and there were men in there shaving and cleaning up, there are portable living dorms set up here the traffic is unreal, people everywhere and it’s very dirty here in this city. We also went to Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site which was the principal fur trading post on the Upper Missouri River, serving many Indian tribes, also we saw the Missouri River which is still out of its banks, back to town and had lunch at Taco Johns and home for the afternoon, chicken and yellow rice for supper tonight. Weather tonight windy and middle 70’s, window’s up in the RV.
