Day 11: Sleepless in SeattleJul 24, 2011

After the banquet last night we gathered our things for leaving this morning. I watched a late night movie, and finally turned out the light....Only, to have a terrible time getting to sleep.
I tossed and turned, trying to find a good place to get comfortable. It was a typical hotel mattress...swaybacked and broken down. I finally switched ends of the bed, and went to sleep.
We left mid-morning, driving south on I-5 to the Oregon border. At one time we had a grand view of Mt. St. Helens. We crossed into Oregon and made it to my cousin Kelley and husband Don's home about 1:30. We have had a great visit with them. Their daughter Rachel and friend Rob, and Ethan their son joined us for supper.
I am not sure what the plans are for tomorrow. We will go wherever Kelley leads!
Oh, by the way, today has been the warmest day of the summer...92 degrees. They commented how cool and rainy it has been. Tomorrow's forecast: 69 degrees and rain.
The dogwood tree in their yard is blooming!
