Waking up was rough today but to claim the long backseat of the bus we set our alarms a little earlier grabbed a croissant and ran out of the hotel to claim our bed on our jersey shore drivers bus. After a three hour bumpy in and out sleep we arrived in Pompeii. The most active volcano in the world filled our bus window along with amazing views of the ocean and the run down city of Naples. trash covered the streets, apartments with clothes filled balconies dotted along the water. We made our way through the crumbling ruins of Pompeii. What was most amazing to me was how advanced the people were. Kitchens, streets with reflectors, giant gladiator training arenas, and amphitheaters. We saw the actual bodies of the people as they were found centuries later. Archeologists decided to cover them in plaster to preserve the remains.

People covering there mouths in the fetal position were all over, a pregnant women by the front gate, and a dog who was chained up and trying so hard to run away that It broke it's neck. Pretty graphic stuff.

Our guide also gave us extensive information abot the promiscuity of everyone before religionm especially before Christianity was brought in. Apparently everyone was banging everyone. A man could have multiple wives and also be sleeping with he cute male gladiator down the road. There are still penises caved into the streets to direct people to the whore houses. They didn't talk about that stuff on he discovery channel coverage of Pompeii.

The only thing I didn't like about the you was it was so rushed. We only had an hour and the place was huge! He shoved us all back on he bus and continued onward to he south of Italy to meet the ferry which would take us to greece. on the bus ride to the ferry mario comes to the back of the bus and sits uncomfortably close and asks me to greek coffee once on board the ferry. he says he wants to talk about photography.

On on board I find it to be like a reall crappy cruise line filled with Greeks. The boat is kinda run down but to can't beat the views of the ocean. We are all exhausted after a fun filled day on the bus. We just set sail and I think it's time for a nap. after my nap `i awake and head on deck to watch the sunset. simply beautiful. i find myself stared down by want some would consider many gypsies on deck. the way they look at us make us feel a little uncomfortable, they yell things in greek that of course we cant understand, but im sure its along the lines of things i would hear american men yelling at a bar.

after dinner mario says he wants to have a meeting on deck with everyone, heather and i are totally fed up with him and want to claim a good table on deck. while hes talking she grabs her face and exclaims im going to be sick and takes off for the upper deck to claim our table lol. to avoid marios coffee date i decide to hang with my fellow roomies and i pop open a bottle of some italian wine from the vineyard and relax on deck with the cool sea breeze and the sounds of greek versions of 'livin the vida loca' playing in the background. i tell them about marios propositions and they agree that he is totally creepy too. he sits a few couches down and stares at us all night. im beginning to really not like this guy.
