Tureal

A big sleep in this morning and it is almost lunchtime before we take a trip to Teruel, which is the largest town for the area. A nice town and we note that the church towers have a distinctive Middle Eastern look about them.

In the main square is a photo exhibition – a collection of photos from the early 1900s onwards.

Our timing not great as, even in a town of this size, all the shops are closed until after 4pm. We have a late lunch at a sidewalk café – still cannot get used to people smoking all around us.

We try for a supermarkcat as we leave but are unable to find one on the road out. Decide to continue anyway and eventually find a small one tucked away in Albarracin.

We stock up and have a home cooked meal – intend to go for a walk but leave it too late – it’s dark.

Mind you this does not stop the Spanish. We can still hear them walking by our apartment well past midnight, chatting loudly and with plenty of kids in tow.
