Today has warmed up a bunch--upper 80's on the Seaway. So we took a 4 hour boat tour thru the Thousand Islands and did a tour of Boldt Castle. The homes on the islands are really great--and there are lots of them. The Boldt Castle was started in 1900 by Mr. Boldt for his wife. Unfortunately, she died before it was finished--so it stayed that way until about 1970! Restoration has begun and the first two floors are finished along with the beautiful grounds and flower beds. The boat ride was fun with a little spray from the wind on the Seaway. We spotted several osprey nests with chicks on the channel markers. The sunsets over the St. Lawrence Seaway were really beautiful--we watched them all three nights during our stay.
Heading to Lake Placid tomorrow.
