| This morning we set up our laptop to access the internet. I went to the Dive Centre at Bananarama with my mom. We are both taking the introduction to diving course. If we like it we can take the PADI open water course. We spent about 30 minutes in Bananarama's dive classroom. Once we finished the classroom part we headed out to the reef. We started at the shallow water by the shore. After we practiced a little we headed out through the reef channel to the outer edge of the reef where the big drop-off is. I saw a glowing blue shrimp. We went down to 25 feet and stayed down for about an hour. My mom says it was about 40 minutes.We saw lots of different types of fish. We didn't take the camera because we have to focus on learning right now. After we finish the open water course we can start diving for fun and take lots of pictures. My dad was clearing the grass and leaves with some men at he lot. He is going to rent a truck tomorrow or Friday so we can drive around the island. We need lots of room because my aunt and uncle are coming for 3 days so he is getting a truck with 4 doors. He is going to use the truck to take the leaves to the dump. After I had a nap because I was tired from scuba diving I went and had dinner at Bananarama. They had a wheel game after dinner, they gave everyone a ticket and they spun a wheel. The prize was $125, but nobody won so the prize went up to $130. One man won a dinner for two in the fancy restaurant they have at Bananarama. We went back to our cabana and my mom and I started reading the Dive Course textbook. We have to read 3 chapters before Monday and the first chapter has 74 pages. My mom is reading out loud and then asks me questions from the tests at the end of each section. I forgot that I watched a movie before we started reading. |
