Tuesday, 19 July: 19 degrees at 6am...around 35 most of the day..
Tuesday, 19 July - Im giving up on reporting the weather as every day gloriously hot, hot, hot! hahaha
6am start and a quick stop over at Katherine for much needed groceries....then back on up the Savanah Way - thru Gregory National Park to Timber Creek.
And you'll never guess who we saw today....Lizzy...remember her from two weeks ago? She is the 72 year old grandmother push bike riding her way from Townsville to Kununara...
We pulled over and had a nice chat and wished her on her way....what an inspiriation....
Arriving at Timber Creek we settled in only to find we had booked into the wrong Caravan Park...but happily our park was better than the one suggested! It was only small and had the best pool...where we lounged for a few hours. At 5pm it was off to the crock feeding in the Park next door. It was a bit errrie standing on this little metal bridge just off the water whilst the attendant threw blood into the water to get the crocs to come! But it was fun and got some good pic...arrr the things Im doing for a good picutre!
Also caught up with the girls we met at Corroobbee which was nice.... Drinks with some other Avan owners was then on the cards and a good night was had.
