July 16, 2011

Hi Everyone,

I thought that I should try to finish my journal before we were too far away from our vacation. I am sorry that I could not update during the trip, but internet access was limited, & of course, when we had it, Nancy tended to “hog” the computer. She is at work today, so I have it all to myself! MOOOOOOOO!!!!! I mean, Yeaaaaaa!!!!!!!

Well, anyway, what a fabulous vacation we had! The food was absolutely incredible & well, I loved the wine & beer as well! I met the most wonderful friends, visited many historic places, & even got to drive the gondola up the Zugspitze! It was really amazing to see the countries that we had visited as Nancy completed the customs form with all of them: Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, & Italy! Wow! We truly are “world travelers!”

Hey! Do you know the difference between Americans & Europeans?!? Americans think that 200 years is a long time….and Europeans think that 200 miles is a long distance!! Ha! Ha!) We REALLY understand THAT here in Texas!! (LOL!!)

Let’s see….where did I leave off since I last updated my journal….

Okay, so, my favorite part of the trip had to be our stay in Garmisch. I loved our visit to the Neuschwanstein Castle. I actually got to take some pictures, see a lot of the scenes & interact with the “people”…Well, you’ll see!

Salzburg was also a lot of fun. Nancy loved the Sound of Music tour & we got some pictures together. I also got a few in the “Garden of Midgets”. (Their name, not mine!) And in Old Salzburg as well.

We finished our trip in Lido de Jesolo with Cousin Maria. Her place was beautiful with its balcony apartment & garden. I even got to try my hoof at Italian cooking!

Anyway, it was a FABULOUS trip! Opa & I truly bonded (See the Garmisch pictures) & I had the opportunity to travel with Peggy & meet many family members. I think the best thing however is to view the pictures. (I have written captions for your convenience!)

Truly the Trip of a Lifetime! I hope that you enjoy it!

All my Love!!

Moose
