| Yes, French community, yes on the French River, yes in close proximity to a reservation, yes a trading post. We are staying in the French River Trading Post Motel. Remember that VERY large blueberry patch at Lauren's and David's? Well we had wonderful blueberry pancakes with "creamy" maple syrup, homemade applesauce, and homemade honey. Lauren and David were very gracious about our dogs - their cat LC was however very glad to see them go. Frodo is pretty chill - but Pippin thinks it would be nice to visit and isn't very much appreciated. Packed up and started out just as a thunder storm broke. But drove into sunlight. Quick stops for food, bathrooms and gas and 11 hours later we were here. Crossed the border at Niagra Falls and had an easy crossing. The dogs have been great... Do need to find the "no bark collar" though so we don't have to worry about eruptions at inopportune times. |
