Henry's Washington Trip travel blog

We are in South Dakota and it is still hot. But we got in the pool that had cool water when we arrived. But I am ahead of myself.

The trip up was uneventful, but we were able to run until 10 AM without A/C. Just north of St Jo. we saw evidence of the flooding of the Missouri River. We were even detoured off I-29 to US 59 until we crossed I-80. At I-80 we moved back to the west and viered off I-80 to I-680 around Omaha and back to I-29. There was still evidence of flooding and there were sand bags (actually large black plastic bags filled with gravel) stacked up on the edges of I-29 to keep the waters off the road.

We got to Sioux Falls about 2:30 and checked in to Yogi Bear RV Park. Big on entertaining the kids. Gravel roads and grass camping spots were standard at the park but they were fairly level. The cable was not worth a damn. We will only be here one night so no big deal. Tomorrow we will get the toilet fixed.
