Sophie & Angus with a dolphin display

This morning we drove out to Monkey Mia (we are actually staying in Denham - 25kms away) to see the famous dolphins! We had to be out there by 7.30am, so the kids got breaky in bed as an incentive to get moving quickly! The sunrise was beautiful on the way there. We didn't have to wait too long for some dolphins to show up, a mother & calf to begin with and then the rest of the family came in to shore as well. Pete & I had seen a documentary on the Shark Bay dolphins not long ago, so it was great to actually see them up so close. They were just amazing, you aren't allowed to touch them, but it was fantastic! It got a bit chilly & started to rain while we were down at the beach, so the hot chocolates and coffees followed as soon as the dolphins swam away! It was one of my favourite things so far on the trip. As soon as we got home, Angus put himself to bed - the early start was obviously too much for him!
