| We arrived in Carnarvon on the first weekend of the WA school holidays - not very good timing! We got the last spot in the caravan park and as you can see they had had quite a bit of rain! Carnarvon is a big fruit & vegetable growing area in WA and one of their specialties is the chocolate covered bananas - which the kids loved! We visited a few plantations and got fresh bananas for $5/kilo!! We attempted a walk out on the jetty, but after much whingeing we gave up & came back a few days later for a train ride out to the end instead - much more enjoyable all round! |
