| The festival weekend continued yesterday with a parade. We can't even remember the last time we went to a parade. Floats and twirlers, bands and fire equipment. Another beautiful day and a parade. We had great seats in the shade right in front of the library where Shirley Mann works. After the parade the 7 of us hiked across the street for a chicken bar b q.....yum. Shirley went back to work and Tom, my Shirley and I sat and talked in the shade of their yard and I had the brilliant idea of going swimming. Well Tom and his Shirley belong to a home owners association and the view of the lake we see from their yard is the associations private beach! Tom and I went swimming in Lake Erie. The water was cold at first but once we got used to it it went well, swimmingly. It was just what I needed and I felt refreshed and revitalized. We all went to dinner at the waterfront. Got a table in the shade and enjoyed the company, meal and views. Off to church in a while then some doin's with Tom and Shirley's Sunday school group. Enjoy the pics. |
