If you like boats and water then Vermilion OH is for you. We have been here before about 5 years ago at a BF'er Banquet up the road just west of Sandusky OH. Tom and Shirley live here and we visited and fell in love with this place. So we are back. Quaint town with hanging baskets of flowers EVERYWHERE. This is the Ft. Lauderdale of the north. Canals with colonial style houses and yachts. Beaches, flat road surfaces for biking and great restaurants. We could spend a week here. We rode our bikes yesterday between 15 and 18 miles and toured the town. It was a beautiful day. Who would have thought Lake Erie has blue green water. After a great grilled surf and turf dinner at the Mann's we headed to Huron for a night of fireworks. Just a few miles up the lake road we settled into a boat basin with a park for the show and it was FUNtastic. Today is a parade and chicken bar b que. This is a super stop. Enjoy the pics.
