Scott and Diane woke up finalized the RV grocery list and went shopping for the final leg of our road trip. We returned, restocked, cleaned, loaded everything back into the RV and finished up the last few loads of laundry that we needed to get done before we hit the road again.
Dirk, Valerie, and Skylar enjoyed a swim at the community pool and then prepped for the block party with their neighbors. The boys opted for a lazy day - not moving from the sofa unless continuously prodded.
The social was nice and we got to meet some of their friends and neighbors; one of whom was a transplant from McLean, VA. Her name is Heather and she makes a great summertime cooler with Champagne, St Germaine, seltzer water, and some lime slices.
We grilled some wonderful blue cheese hamburgers, and Valerie made Aunt Vickie's potato salad and Mom Easterwood's Peach Blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. It was fantastic!
We could see the fireworks from the front porch, so we hung out there for a little while and went to bed at a reasonable time.
