The Famous Daly Waters Pub - in themiddle of nowhere!
| Thursday 7th July: 10-30 degrees..another perfect day! NOTE: Sorry for no entries for a few days..no internet access whilst crossing central QLD... A slow start today...ending at Daly Waters Pub...but on the way stopping at Newcastle Waters...an old deserted town now..but back when Gary lived in Darwin it was one of the places he used to visit for a weeee drinkie...unfortunately the town is deserted now... Spooky going thru the old pub and houses around... Pushing on we landed at Daly Waters Pub...the notorious pub about 300k out of Katherine..where the walls are lined with undies, shirts, business cards..you name it..whatever people what to leave behind. And look...there are even a few boys from Riverview (St Ignatius) listed on the wall...LOL Tonight had the famous Beef and Barrumundi dinner with a comedian who was sensational..They recon they cater for about 250 every night! Will have a weeee drinkie for you all... |
