Awoke to roadworks outside our window and on inspection the police were involved with several tow trucks removing cars illegally parked over the road work area!! Yeh well its normal as we have discovered in Europe that locals park where ever. Chat with Kenan on skype, great to catchup! Good luck Emma off on your own European trip, have fab time see you in London!! Enjoyed a great 3 hour boat cruise out to the many 'Calanques' around Marseille coastline. Beautiful scenery and amazing history (thankfully cruise operator had an English handbook prepared for us). Many, many locals enjoy these beautiful areas via boats or hiking into the small villages, some without water and electricity! At 5.30pm caught the 'hop on hop off' bus tour of the city (1 1/2 hours). Ok we didn't realise we were in for a roller coaster ride yes the driver was obviously very confident on the very narrow up and down roads but really thrilling for us and entertaining as cars had to back up and we did a 6 point turn!! Home cooked meal tonite, yes i still remember how even if it was only pasta!
