Peterson Caterpillar had their mechanic at the shop around 1030 and we waited until 1200 until the mechanic decided to call UPS and was told that the box had been delivered about two hours ago. This was very a pleasant surprise since the UPS tracking system said the shipment was in Medford but was still in the belly of the plane and no one would unload the plane until Monday with a scheduled delivery of 1030 Monday morning. Other calls were made and at 1200 we received a call saying the package had been delivered two hours ago and that the UPS website had not been updated. Sure enough the mechanic walked out to the delivery box outside the gate and found the box. No had observed the UPS truck make the delivery and since it was Saturday the delivery was to the box outside the gate as the office was not open. We were all pleasantly surprised. The mechanic went to change into his coveralls and we started pulling in the slide-outs and getting ready to drive the motorhome into the shop. Then the mechanic came out and said it doesn't look good because the replacement was four inches larger in diameter than the original fan. The mechanic then got under the motorhome and measured the shroud opening and sure enough the shroud is one inch larger than the original fan and 3 inches too small for the fan that Tiffin sent to replace the damaged fan. So, the bottom line is we will have to wait for another fan to be delivered and the absolute earliest another can be received is Tuesday morning and that assumes Tiffin has the proper fan in stock. If it gets worse and we cannot get out here on Tuesday we may well have to find a hotel room because our holding tanks are filling up and we have not been able to find any local company with a portable honeywagon that could empty our tanks. It is a crappy situation. Pun intended. Ross & Marge
