The long drive

Kids enjoying Germany

Cousins

German food is yummy too

We got a good start to the day and then stopped for lunch in the other Aix, Aix-Les-Bains.

Some fois gras, steak tartare and red wine will leave a good taste in our mouths. The 2 hour long lunch service despite our hurry to get back on the road will also be a typical memory of France.

The scenery is beautiful as you cross into France towards Geneva, and then it just gets better. By the time we were through Switzerland and into Germany the roads, cute towns and general organization and cleanliness were making us feel welcome.

We arrived at my cousin's home later than we expected, but a delicious dinner was waiting nicely for us. We unloaded the cars and then fell asleep after our 1,000 km two day drive. Jen and I realized that driving with two adults in one car is easy and we love road trips, but driving two cars in convoy is a bit harder to do.
