Retirement Adventure 2011 travel blog

On the way to Albany, GA spent two nights on the road. Stayed at a place called South of the Border, which has a campground, hotels and restuarants. It's a great place to bring kids as there are a lot of stores and activities for kids. Everything is on a mexican theme. Every restaurant is on this theme, even steakhouse The Peddlar, which is an upscale restuarant that built their restuarant into a huge sombrero. There's also a sombrero on top of a high tower where you can walk around the brim of the hat to take pictures and see the surrounding area. Surprisingly quiet campground (maybe because we didn't have planes right over our heads like in VA Beach).
