On June 22 we traveled across the ferry back to Nova Scotia. We did the night crossing arriving back at the campground about 2:30 AM. We played cards, listened to the entertainers, read, and slept a little. Actually Clarence fell asleep before we left port.
On June 23 we had lunch at a charming place where Alexander Graham Bell used to stay. It was called the Telegraph Hotel. It used to be a busy place where people could send telegrams to Europe using the cable under the ocean. After lunch we walked around in the little town of Beddeck and Clarence bought a pair of CROCS. We then went to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. It was located here because he and his wife had a home here. It was amazing all of the things that he was involved in during his lifetime besides just the telephone invention. If you get up this way, it is a worthwhile museum to visit. Finally we toured the Great hall of Clans and tartans. For those who have Scottish ancestry, this is the place to go explore your traditions and learn about the clans.
On June 24 we went on a boat trip to see different birds. We saw razorbills, black guillemot, kittiwake, double crested and great cormorants, great blue herons, great black and herring gulls, ducks, and my favorite the puffins. We also saw grey seals and harp seals.
