We chose to spend our last evening at Loch Lomond, which is only about 30 minutes from the Glasgow airport. This is a beautiful area of lakes and mountains. We planned to take a romantic sunset cruise on Loch Lomond to finish of our Scotland trip. However, the weather did not cooperate and it was raining and blowing too hard for the boats to go out. Oh well, this was the only thing that we had not been able to do. The weather, over all, had been quite good for us. You do not go to Scotland for good weather, but we had fine weather other than the last couple of days, and we were driving most of the time then, so it really did not matter.
We stayed in a nice B&B with a ground floor room in Alexandria (next to Bolloch). We repacked everything to try to get the weight of our bags down to 20 Kgs. Not possible, they weigh around 22 Kgs each. Hopefully they will let this slip by.
