| Hola! It was really sad leaving Belize, but super fantastic entering south america! We dossed around in Lima for a bit, until we discovered the bus we wanted to get was full up so we flew to Cuzco instead (a bit extravagent i know!) So yesterday we arrived in Cuzco and then travlled to this wee town where we could get the train to machu picchu this morning (5 o´clock start- eek!) Peru is amazing, proper chilly though- though obviously i still managed to get sunburnt! We tried coca tea today mmm Machu Picchu was incredible, we got there nice and early to avoid the swarms or tourists and got a spectacular view. We spent the rest of the afternoon in Agues Caliantes, where there has been a powercut all day! We have hot water in our hostel! Slightly sleep deprived after a night in an airport, however tomorrow night we have an epic bus trip to Chile (so as we can get into Bolivia coz the peru-bolivia border is shut atm) Righty ho, we have a train to catch, adios amigos! |
