We were driving along the road towards Drum Castle, when we spotted a sign for a stone circle. We stopped and Dan went and took pictures while Linda waited in the car. The light was just right as the sun was getting low in the sky and gave great light on the stones.
Here was a medium sized single ring of neolithic standing stones, with 8 smaller circles within. Evidently, the smaller circles were burial sites for the cremated remains.
