Scotland 2011- Whiskey and Castles travel blog

This was a small ruined castle site. It was likely built in the mid-13th Century. It was comprised of a strong gatehouse, a great hall, a large chapel, and four large towers on the corners of the perimeter walls. It was very similar in design and dimensions to Harlech (in Wales), that this one may also have been commissioned by Edward I and supervised by the same builder as Harlech.

Linda could not get into the site, so she spent her time scooting around looking at lambs. There was a cute little black lamb. Unfortunately, her scooter broke down and she was stranded until Dan found her. He pushed her and the scooter back to the car (fortunately not too far) and he tried to figure out what was wrong. Probably a load-limiting breaker that needed to be reset, but they could not find the reset button on the new scooter. Maybe it will start working later after it cools down and rests for a bit.
