We had so much fun at this park. There is so much to do here but first, just a brief history.

The company started in 1993 when Ron Thiel originally bought the Terry Ranch for the purpose of raising Bison. Dan Thiel, the son of Ronald and Janice thought it would be a great idea to start a company that would allow people to be able to get up close and personal to the “great North American Bison”. After over 1 year of red tape, Terry Bison Ranch Resort became a reality.

We went on the Bison tour. If you want to see the bison up close and personal, this is the way to go. We rode in one of their custom-built trains. Before we took off, the conductor gave us a bag of food to feed the Bison. We were thrilled to be close enough to touch their fur and feed them. The adults and babies ran along side the train as we were leaving wanting more food. We also saw ostriches, adult and baby camels, adult and baby alpacas, adult and baby Scottish Highland cattle, miniature horses, saddle horses, Tom turkey, goats, prairie dogs, and two muskrats. Other activities they had were a Sunday lunch train, horseback riding, fishing, old time photo studio, and Kid Corral that included pony rides, ferris wheel ride, bucket ride, airplane ride, and barrel train. And, of course, they had the Steakhouse and Saloon, and the Trading Post Gift Shop.
