Invited to go fishing with Phil and Gloria on a perfect day. Caught a nice spanish mackerel with my old rod,only to lose my catching lure later in the day. Plenty of bottom fish but mainly too small using a small rubbery lure.Phil caught a nice Spangled Emperor at 45cms.Fisheries doing their checks as we arrived back at the jetty, asked to see my license which is all fair enough. A really special day with the weather at perfection. Phil and Sue as well as Colin and Amelia also had a good haul of fish. Filleted the mackerel and ended up eating only a third of the fillets for tea, so much from quite a small fish, bellisimo !! ( Check out the uniform, I haven't retired yet--good sun screening!!)
