Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Marilyn & I were both really tired last night and went to bed shortly after 8:30 PM.

We slept well and didn’t get up until 6:00 this morning.

We had time for coffee before showers and getting dressed for breakfast at the Mansion.

We arrived right at 8:30 and sat in the kitchen to visit with John & Julie, who were quite busy with the duties of a quality B & B owner.

We moved to the dining room after 9:00 and enjoyed a delicious breakfast of fresh baked, still warm from the oven, blueberry and peach muffins, quiche, a wonderful bowl of fresh fruit, juice and coffee.

Julie joined us after a bit to sit and visit about many things. We always enjoy ourselves when we are at the Mansion!

Thank you dear friends, John & Julie!

When we left the Mansion we drove to Palmyra to the home of our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids.

We had a happy time, playing with the little ones and visiting with Jennifer. We met Steve on the highway, as he was on his way to work, and waved.

We left after the grandkids went to bed for their naps, and drove into Palmyra for an appointment with the Chiropractor.

Feeling fine after a treatment we headed back to Hannibal.

After a short stop at the restaurant to give them a heads up, we drove to the RV.

The plan was for eleven of us to meet at the Mexican restaurant at 5:00 and I wanted to make sure we had no problem with a table large enough for all of us.

Steve & Cathy, Bob & Janet, Dennis & Sonja, Susan and her two children (From Arizona) and Marilyn & I made up the happy group.

We were the last to arrive and the conversation continued unabated, punctuated with laughter. Everyone had a good time.

We lingered as long as we dared because people were lined up waiting for a table, so we paid the tabs and walked outdoors to visit before saying “So Long” with hugs all around.

This has been another good day with family and friends.

Life is Good!
