What a beautiful place to spend the night after an adventurous day.

(Ron Writing) After a fine breakfast of apple pancakes we left our beautiful campsite near Haines and headed back north on the Haines Highway retracing our route back to Haines Junction. All along the way we again had beautiful views of those snow-capped mountains in the Kluane Ranges. But, today it was sunnier than Saturday. We didn’t take many photos but sure enjoyed the beautiful drive.

We got to Haines Junction about mid-afternoon and then got back on the Alaska Highway heading northwest. We drove to the Silver City area where we spotted a beautiful paved turnout overlooking a pond with ducks and spectacular views of the Kluane Mountains in the background. We decided we might never find a more beautiful place to spend the night!
