"Worlds largest model train store"

The light was a train.

Today was a lazy day. About noon, we went to Walgreen's (they're everywhere) to pick up prescriptions. Also went to a super market nearby there and picked up a few supplies. Then we boogied on to downtown Denver to Caboose Hobbies, "The worlds largest trains store", according to their ads. They do have a lot of stuff, but my store in Buford, Ga. is a close second if not even. At any rate, we picked up a few house kits for Edie to assemble when we get home. I think now that we have plenty for the residential area of the town on our layout.

The rest of the day was pretty much just laying around. I made reservations for us in Grand Junction, CO. which is our next location as we journey westward. Plan to spend 4 nights there prior to going to Monument Valley,AZ. That is the place that John Ford and John Wayne loved to make movies.

After supper here, we cranked up the Direct TV box and caught the movie "We Were Soldiers" starring Mel Gibson. It is based on a true story and real characters. It is a Vietnam War movie...a bit gory, but inspiring. It was over at 10 and so were we. Tomorrow we will wrap up our Denver area visit.
