Continuing our lovely drive along the Cote d'Azur, we enjoyed both the seaside views and the attractive towns we passed. The landscaping along the roadway medians and roundabouts is beautiful with palms, oleander, flowers and flowering shrubs and a variety of interesting trees and plants. Everything seems well-manicured and artistically arranged. It is difficult to take it all in and impossible to capture the ambiance in photos.

We drove into St. Tropez and walked about the town, taking in the pretty facades and luxurious yachts encircling the marina. We munched on baguette sandwiches and fantastic ice cream for lunch as we took in the sights of town.

Then we headed up the coast to a campground just north of Les Issambres. The campground has access to a nice little beach across the street. So we had a chance to swim in the Mediterranean Sea again and take in a little time on the beach. We also caught up on laundry and internet. And we had a surprisingly good meal at the restaurant adjoining the campground. Steak au poivre for Jose and St. Jacques scallops for Jill.
