The trip over the pass went very well. It doesn't seem so high from the east as you are starting at about 2000 feet. The western side was a long trip down as it goes to about 200 from 5000. Ron learned that 2nd and/or low gear makes the MH slow down a lot. It wasn't bad as the lakes we went around had a tree line between the lake and the road. We saw some beautiful flowers. I hope some of my pictures turned out so you can see them.
We had a bit of a mixup when we arrived at the fairgrounds, but followed another SKP 5th wheel but he was lost too, but knew where he was supposed to be so we just followed him. Lots of people we know here and it looks like it will be a great rally. Too bad it rained out the happy hour tonight. But Ron and I took that time to decide where we are going after the rally. We will head for the coast and check out lighthouses, shoreline, sea lions and sea food restaurants. Sounds like a plan to me.
