| Good morning! We have been staying in a cabin located in the Alps for the past three nights so Internet is difficult to find. We sure wish we could post photos because we have some awesome ones to share! We went to Salzburg. We toured Mozart's birthplace. He has been dead 200 years but the house we toured was built 600 years before he was born! Amazing! Great shopping in Salzburg but very expensive! Toured a huge fortress the size of a city then went to Ludwig's palace built in the 1878 modeled after Versailles . Amazing! We are continually finding new gadgets and new ways of operating devices! Every city has it's own faucets, coffee pots, etc. We are boarding the train to Venice thin morning, it should be about a three hour train ride. The train schedule is challenging and Rodney almost booked our train ticket to Vienna , Austria. thank goodness they changed it to Venice! The trains are okay if you sit in first class but one thing we noticed is that the people on the train are very quiet. When we went to the grocery store yesterday everyone was very quiet and the store was totally silent. No music, no talking above a whisper so we read that it is appreciated to remain quiet so that you do not disturb those around you. We have learned to keep lots of coins in our pocket if we need to use the toilet. If you ask for a bathroom, they look at you as if you have two heads! Most toilets cost from one dollar to thirty cents. we are having a ton of fun! Thanks for reading our posts!!!, Pam and Vickie |
