And what a journey it’s been already!
Only 8 weeks since my departure from Sydney and it feels like a life time!
Life seems too short, as I sit here in a café in Perth I feel more content and excited for life than ever before. Having experienced and learnt so much in such a short time, I feel a lot like a puppy full of excitement! Unable to take my eyes off the bouncing ball of new experiences, Ones that are so unreal…ones that finally fit my mould!
Lets face it! Sarah has always been the rusted fork in the fine china draw :)
And finally she has found the dirt her skin has missed, the seeds that constantly now propagate in her mind and sprout each day eager to grow!
Its amazing how life works when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable. I can’t tell you the amount of times people have commented on how brave one must be to do what I am doing. From travelling alone, to chasing the unknown. I smile when I think how easy it all seams in my little mind, compared to the idea of me living in a city and living a life of structure and security. This is what in my eyes is the tough road. One I admire people for achieving but could not imagine myself and struggle to accept for sooooo long!
So Many amazing people have popped up in my life over the past weeks and presented such amazing opportunities and new challenges! something that i would not have ever experienced if still in sydney, or prob even travelling with others. i find when i am a little vulnerable i am also a lot more open to possibilties! and my god have they flown in!!
One that comes straight to mind is the sudden road trip acroos the country with a boat!!!
Who would have though!
In short, this is how it all rolled out so unexpectedly, so perfectly
I had a listing on Gumtree (trading website) for any travellers who may have been heading to Perth from Adelaide and needed a ride. Hoping to have a little company for the long roads and maybe another driver, plus someone to help in the cost of fuel on the 2600km drive!
A day before my date to hit the road, i have heard no reply and decide to hit that road anyway!
Then the call comes!
A beautiful man in Perth has come acroos my add by chance while looking for flights on gumtree, Wanting desperately to have his boat here in Perth where he has been based working but not sure how to get it over from his home in Gawler (yes Gawler!!! the same very suburb i have been working and studying on the farm in S.A)
anyway with a little uncertainty from both ends, all seeming much too perfect of an opportunity. i think what the heck! Sure! i can tow a boat across the country!
And i did! which payed for my entire fuel cost ($800 - incase anyone plans on towing a 15ft boat 2600km) plus a little extra for the drop off!
Within this story there many other amazing moments but i have run short of time
in short i have also made a new friend here and still shake my head at how it all worked out so perfectly!
So i now walk on new land, exploring the ways of the west, and earning a few dollars before i head to the farms again. hopefully not too long in town, i have itchy feet the minute i step back into them lately :)
Great to see old friend here and over all.... i cant seems to wipe the smile off my face
Sending you all my love!
will try to keep a little more updated while i have reception :) ironically there seems to be less to share when in cities though? :)
xxxx
Take care, but not too much :)
