| We had a wonderful visit with Karyn, Johnny, Carolyn, and their kids. Lots to talk about from the Powers Country Store days on up. We caught up on a lot. The steaks were to die for also. Johnny, Karyn's husband sure can cook a rib eye. Today we drove to Huntington Beach. It was cool and overcast but Karyn said June is what the forecasters call June gloom. It is mostly overcast from the ocean a good part of the day and keeps the temperature down. When it burnt off the temp became more comfortable. While at the beach we ate at Dukes which is right on the beach at the pier. Good food and drink. Lots of surfers in the water waiting for the next big one. All had wet suits on as the water there is not warm. Sandie got a picture of the "Dude" for Donnie. It was wonderful seeing Karyn and Carolyn after all these years. They have wonderful family's. We hope to see them some day in Virginia. |
