I took a 35 mile round trip bike looking for the Dam. There is a bike and bus lane on Bolder Highway which I was very happy about as there is a lot of very fast traffic here. When I arrived in Henderson City, the road changed. Bolder became a freeway which I ended up on. I took a side road but it brought me to a mining company. I am sure there is a way to get to the dam, but I got off at an exit and returned. On the way back I spotted a Campers World, stopped in, made an appointment for an oil change for the next day, and continued back to the campground.
Around noon, we took the Sam's Town free shuttle bus to the Strip. It was almost 100 degrees, very hot and incredibly crowded for a Tuesday. There were so many people on the street pushing these "girly" cards in your face, that you had to push through them. Really spoiled the fun of being on the strip. I haven't been to Vegas for years(although Sandie has) and it is amazing how many more casinos are there. Of course they are all the basic casino and build a theme around them like Paris, NY NY, Bellagio, Treasure Island, etc. We did visit the new Town Center that cost 8 bill to build. It is quite a place and has every designer store there is plus lots of great restaurants. Well, after walking around all afternoon we returned to Sam's, and called it an early night. It is amazing how tired you get walking who knows how many miles in and out of the casino's. We did sign up for players cards at a few and got either free plays or dollars that could be spent on anything but gambling. Always looking for those freebies. All and all, Vegas was disappointing.
