Left Clearwater Lake Regional Park around 9:00 am for Saskatoon via Kelfield, SK and our old farm site. After many bumpy miles on secondary highways, gravel and then downright dirt roads, we were finally sitting beside the old farm yard. Very nostalgic. No buildings remain, of course, but familiar and full of memories all the same. We moved on to the hamlet of Kelfield, the little hub for the surrounding area, where Rob stopped in to say hi to the town administrator, Patti Turk. We then made a last stop at Joy and Keith Aldridge’s farm (Patti’s mom and dad) to say hi and briefly catch up on the status of our previous neighbours and friends. So nice to see you, Joy and Keith. Thanks so much for the update and for the “Just Us Five” CD, quite the reminder of days gone by and the many country dances we all enjoyed together.
Arrived in Saskatoon around 3:30 and settled into our camp site in the Saskatoon 16 West RV Park. While looking for a place to give our car a much needed bath after our dusty trek through Kelfield, we swung around to see our old neighbourhood, Silverwood Heights, and our house on Neusch Crescent. Everything looks great!
Weather: a bit breezy but sunny and warm
