| After the flight we wondered around the airport looking for the train station. We bought our pass and met an American who allowed us to follow him to the Cologne train platform. We stood at platform 4 waiting for the train when all of sudden our friend told us to follow him. He understood the German announcement that directed us to change platforms for the train. Angel Dan saved us from making the first major mistake! Pam and I bought Belgium chocolates!!!! Heidelberg was our next stop and there we walked along the Rhine River. it is beautiful here. We have learned a few German phrases, ordered off a German food menu without knowing what we ordered. Everyone has been so helpful and friendly, the weather has been in the 70 or 80's.
