On Tuesday 1 June 2004 we found it was hard to leave Provence but the next stop was Andorra. For those who have never heard of it, it is a small country sandwiched between France and Spain in the Pyrenees, and is mostly known for skiing. The scenery is spectacular with small towns in the valleys surrounded by peaks covered by retreating snow. The Contiki Tours skip Andorra which has also been a bonus, but it is a wonderful place and a shame most people miss it. We came here to visit John and Carolyn Thomas, and to meet their 16-month-old daughter Lotti, who charmed us. John and Carolyn were wonderful hosts providing us with an amazing home cooked meal, a washing machine and a wealth of local knowledge.

John led Chris and Glenn astray with the locals at the pub one night and bright and early the following morning John took Glenn on a walk into the hills while Carolyn introduced Bec and Mary to another thing that Andorra is famouns for - cheap shopping.
