Carolyn Nottleson is here visiting her daughter and family for a few days. This time she left her motorhome at a friend's house and flew to Austin. Her kids are on a little camping trip over the week end, but Carolyn stayed behind. She has the house to herself while they're gone. She is doing a few little projects for them during their absence, one of which is refinishing a patio chair.
When the chair project was finished, Carolyn and I went to Red Lobster for a late lunch. I had a coupon for $3 off two meals.
After lunch we went to the house to hang out for a little while. Late in the afternoon we went to Zilker Hillside Theatre in Zilker Park, where we saw a modern take on William Shakespeare's "Love's Labour's Lost" set on a California beach in 1963. The play lasted three hours. It was presented by Austin Shakespeare. It was a bit difficult for us to follow. I guess we need to brush up on our Shakespeare. :>) We sat on a rock outcropping at the top of the hill. Even with a doubled blanket to sit on, that rock just wasn't very soft! Next time we'll take lawn chairs. At least the temperature was comfortable after sundown; there was a cooling breeze.
